How much does it cost to work with you?
This is the #1 question I get asked. I get it! Cost can be a deal breaker when it comes to who you choose to work with. If you are looking for a quick and cheap solution for your website or digital marketing, then we are likely not the best fit.
I do custom website development and a variety of other advanced technical work for my clients. It requires a lot of time, a lot of skill and a lot of creativity. Our work together is an investment in your business. Instead of thinking of how much it costs to work with me, think about how much your business will profit from our work together!
I quote each project individually because each project is different. I quote based on size, complexity and timeline. If you are looking for a ballpark number, a new website or website redesign typically starts at $8,000. How long does it take for you to make a website?
It depends! If you have all the content ready for your website (images, copy, information, etc.) a design to launch process typically takes 8-12 weeks for a medium sized website. A smaller website could take ~8 weeks. If you will be creating content for your website during the design and development phases of the project, the timeline could take longer. Sometimes the process of creating a website generates new ideas for content and that could naturally delay the launch date. I will include an estimated timeline in your website proposal before we start work together! Overall, I work efficiently but I don’t rush projects. Quality comes with time!
What’s the difference between working with you and working with an agency?
I provide agency level web design, web development, digital marketing and ecommerce consulting for clients. I know this because I used to work for an agency, I’ve done contract work for many agencies and because many of my clients leave their agency contracts to work with me instead.
The difference is that you get to work with me one-on-one. I will always be the one answering your questions, I will always be the one on the other end of a zoom call or phone call, I will always be leading the project from start to finish. I can’t speak for what the experience is at another agency, but I know that many of my clients have stayed with me for years and years because we love working together.
For services I don’t provide (copywriting, social media, press, etc.), I partner with other boutique agencies and other freelancers. I would be happy to assemble a team for a project!
I don’t need a new website, I just need an issue fixed. Can you do that?
The new projects I take on are primarily new websites or website redesigns. I usually don’t have time in my schedule to one-off website troubleshooting, but please feel free to contact me about your issue! I might have some quick advice I can send your way. I do fix issues and provide general troubleshooting for my existing clients!
Do you provide website maintenance and other ongoing services?
Yes! I offer flexible retainer options to all my clients. My retainer services include (but is not limited to) security updates, 24/7 uptime guarantees, SEO reports, site audits and more.
Do you work with Squarespace? (Or Wix? Or Weebly?)
I have done work on these platforms (Squarespace, Wix, Weebly) but they aren’t my preferred platforms to work on. These platforms are best suited for business owners trying to do a DIY solution for their business. Then a few years later they contact me to scrap their DIY website and build them something better! I’ve overseen many site migrations from Squarespace —> Shopify, Wix —> Wordpress, etc. I’d be happy to discuss why I think your website would be more successful on Shopify, Wordpress or Drupal!
Can you create a logo for my website?
I don’t do logo design but I partner with a variety of logo/brand designers on projects. I’d be happy to connect you with someone!
What if I don’t have a brand yet for my business?
That’s okay! I create digital brands for businesses (overall aesthetic, color, typography, graphic elements, etc.) A digital brand is great starting point for your website design. I don’t do all brand work, including logo design, print materials, merch design or custom illustration. If you are looking for full branding work for you business I’d be happy to connect you with someone!
Will you add all the content to my website?
I can! Do you have lots of products that need to be added to your site? Lots of pages of content? I have overseen some very large site migrations and site content uploads. I have a variety of automated solutions and I also have a team of people that can assist with this.
Can you write the copy for my website?
I do not personally provide copywriting services, but I partner with other freelancers and boutique agencies that provide copywriting services. I can get this service set up for you!
